Generation Ag is bringing the Agriculture industry together.

Generation Ag was founded by Kayla Evans and Lavinia Wehr, two passionate Marketing and Communications Managers with a passion for Agriculture. They, among others, have been truly inspired by so many in the industry and want to provide a platform for people of all ages, areas, backgrounds to share their story of agriculture to create change, educate and grow the already strong community to become something even bigger!

Inspiring stories from all areas of agriculture.

Raised on a beef and grain property on the Darling Downs in Queensland, Kayla Evans has always had her roots firmly planted in the land. After joining the Royal Australian Navy in 2011, she moved to Perth in 2012 to study Marketing and Human Resources Management and fell in love with the West. She’s a self-confessed communications junkie, and this passion landed her roles in communications and business development at Murdoch University. But the universe works in mysterious ways, and after being out of agriculture for nearly 10 years, she fell into her current role as Program Manager for the Grain Industry Association of Western Australia’s Careers in Grain project. Kayla was welcomed back with open arms by the entire primary industries sector and now relishes any opportunity to chew your ear off about the wealth of opportunities that agriculture has to offer anyone. She is driven by a desire to create a movement of young people with the desire to impact the world through our agricultural industries.

Lavinia Wehr

Lavinia grew up on a farm in Scaddan, North-East of Esperance. She is passionate about educating people in the Agricultural Industry. Moving to Perth for High School and then onto Curtin University to study Public Relations, she realised her love for communicating. Currently, she runs her own Digital Marketing Business Lavinia Wehr Social out of Perth with the hopes to grow with more Agricultural Clients. Now, as the Secretary of AgConnectWA, her goal is to create more events for young people in Ag and minimise the gap of isolation among young farmers. She has previously hosted her own podcast and hopes that Generation Ag can be for all people not just those in the industry to learn more about all the amazing things agriculture does for this country.
